Product

A physical object that can be used by a customer. This could be anything you come across in your day to day life like a tiny nail, a wide TV, a laptop, etc.

Variant

A product may have multiple variants in a specific characteristic like color or size. Even when a product may come in different color and shape it is still identified as one entity. You can compare this to different states of water like vapour and ice.

European Article Number

Every product contains a unique identifier to identify it in the system to bill and to maintain stock. This could be a QR code or a bar code which is generally used across the globe. One such standardized bar code format is EAN-13. European Article Number 13 is a 13 digit number on every product you buy from your super market or online stores. This is also called International Article Number.
